Ingredient:

  • Chicken marinade
  • 2 pieces of chicken (can be breast or thigh)
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce (I use the Lee Kum Kee brand)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon of five spice powder
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce / oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of Angkak
  • 2-3 drops of red dye (substitute for Angkak if not available)
  • 2 tablespoons of boiled water
  • Sauce ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of five spice powder
  • 1 tablespoon of tauco
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
  • 1 cm ginger (finely chopped)

Step:

  • First of all, clean the chicken and remove the bones. Put all the marinade in the bowl and then soak the chicken for at least 4-8 hours (don't forget the chicken is pricked with a fork, so that the spices are more absorbed)

  • If it has been soaked for 4-8 hours, prepare a baking sheet that has been covered with aluminum foil (so it's easy to clean, hehe) then bake at 200 © for 30 minutes.

  • While waiting for the chicken to cook, prepare a sauce pan (pan), put all the sauce spices and cook over low heat for 5-7 minutes.

  • To make the honey even more pronounced, rub honey on the surface of the chicken every 10 minutes during the baking process. Once cooked, cut the chicken according to taste, serve with warm sauce and rice. Enjoy.
